Life in Progress
Mary Sue's working method, deploying the most advanced digital means, involves a critical reading of real places and situations through the prism of her cartoonish alter ego in performances rendered in videos, photographs, sculptures, installations, drawings and games.
Her work has been presented at the Collection Lambert in Avignon in 2004 (A fripon fripon et demi, collective exhibition), at La Maison Rouge, Fondation Antoine de Galbert in Paris during the collective exhibition Vraoum! in 2009, and recently exhibited at the Samek Art Museum in Pennsylvania (Screen Time, collective exhibition, 2022). She has had solo exhibitions in France and Italy and participated in Art Basel, FIAC, Art Brussels, ARCO, Art Paris and Artissima.
Since 2017, she has been part of the Making Things Happen program at TMH Gallery in Amsterdam, which represents her today and shows her work regularly.
